Leadership TeamWritten by Craig English on Jun 16, 2013
Rev. EunJoung Joo was appointed Washington Grove UMC on July 2014. She loves to be a part of what God is doing with this vital congregation and journey with each one of them. Compelled by God’s love, she is passionate about living out God’s love through her life and ministry. Born in South Korea, she was graduated with honors from both Korean Methodist Seminary in Seoul, Korea and Wesley Theological Seminary. She is one of contributors of the book, “Those Preaching Women, A Multicultural Collection” and was selected a Lewis Fellow of the Lewis Center for Church Leadership through a grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. She was also selected to participate in Racial-Ethnic Cross-Racial Cross-cultural lead pastor mentoring program sponsored by General Board of Higher Education. She is currently serving as District Committee Board of Ordained ministry and a chair of Exam & Evaluation Procedures Team of Board of Ordained Ministry. While she isn’t thinking ‘church,’ she is enjoying time with her husband Myung and her daughter Abigail Hee-Won, and with her collegial friends.
